A brief practice to return attention to your heart and centre as you go about your day.
We begin by noticing the physical sensations in the centre of the chest—not what they are, simply that they are. Here is the heartbeat, your rhythm and movement, and the silent centre between each beat.
Imagining the breath beginning here, we follow it gently down to the lower belly and back to the heart, then up to the head and back again, in an infinity form. Three breaths with this awareness, and an intention to notice sensation in the body as a whole—as though you are inside your body, aware.
Something to return to whenever you feel to, as often as you like. Choose a moment when you are physically and situationally safe, with attention free to turn inward—not while driving or crossing a road.
A companion to the Breathing Your Flow short meditation and Breathing Your Flow immersion.
how this fits into the structure
Each time we listen to an immersion, parts of us are rewritten. We have the opportunity to come into a higher alignment with our signature resonance – in specific ways.
Short meditations give us a practice we can repeat, that helps us embody that new alignment.
So instead of defaulting to old habits, beliefs, perceptions and response systems; instead of defaulting to our old scripts, we embody the new alignment we’ve immersed in.
- Within this meditation:
- Allowing intention to direct attention, without requiring a particular experience.
- Following the breath through the heart, lower belly and head in an infinity form.
- Relaxing into your own rhythm, as the ocean allows the movement of the tide.
- Being present with sensation throughout the body, without naming or interpreting it.
- Letting go of focusing, and allowing each breath to resource you from the infinite.
